Butterfly gets license to sell iQ+ scanners in Canada

Point-of-care ultrasound developer Butterfly Network has been approved for a class III medical device license in Canada for its iQ+ handheld scanner.

The second-generation handheld scanner can now be sold to medical professionals throughout Canada. Features on iQ+ include biplane imaging, which uses a 2D sensor array to simultaneously show intersecting planes, automatic bladder volume calculation with 3D rendering, and onscreen needle highlighting.
