JDI names new editor in chief

December 3, 2019 -- The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) announced that Dr. David Avrin, PhD, has been appointed as the new editor in chief of the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI).

Dr. Avrin will succeed Janice Honeyman-Buck, PhD. He will assume the role on January 1, 2020, and work with Honeyman-Buck in the final year of her contract, according to the society.

Dr. Avrin is a professor of clinical radiology and medicine in the University of California, San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging.
