Varian to highlight RT management system at AAPM meeting

July 11, 2019 -- Radiation therapy (RT) firm Varian Medical Systems plans to highlight its automated patient identification, positioning, and motion management system for radiation therapy at the upcoming American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) 2019 annual meeting in San Antonio.

The company's Identify guidance system features patient safety, quality, and efficiency tools for surface-guided radiation therapy, according to Varian.

At the meeting, the firm will also highlight its RapidPlan treatment planning software, multicriteria optimization technology, Noona software for managing cancer patient symptoms and tracking patient-reported outcomes, and ProBeam 360° single-room proton therapy system, it said.
