March 22, 2019 -- Breast imaging computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer CureMetrix has garnered U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for cmTriage, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based software application designed to enable triaging of screening mammography exams.

With cmTriage, radiologists can customize, sort, and prioritize their mammography worklist based on cases the software has determined may require immediate attention, according to the company. In addition, suspicious cases can be sent to the group's most senior radiologists or read right away. CureMetrix said cmTriage has produced an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.95 in testing.
