January 27, 2016 -- At this week's Arab Health 2016 meeting, GE Healthcare announced a partnership to set up an image exchange network in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Called Unison, the agreement will use GE technology to set up a digital radiology center of excellence that will link 11 hospitals in the UAE. Physicians in the country's Ministry of Health will be able to view and share diagnostic images across the UAE, regardless of where they were acquired.

The agreement is between GE Healthcare, the UAE Ministry of Health, and Abu Dhabi International Medical Services.
