zSpace, EchoPixel partner on virtual holography

zSpace and EchoPixel are collaborating on a clinical protocol for colon cancer detection based on virtual holography technology, the companies said.

EchoPixel will combine its software tools with zSpace's interactive 3D platform to develop the protocol, which will use data from CT images to generate holographic 3D reconstructions. This will allow clinicians to interact with the colon as if it were a true physical object, according to the firms.
