AI that works in breast imaging clinical practice

April 6, 2022 -- Artificial intelligence (AI) for breast imaging has significant opportunities but is also uniquely challenging. Some AI applications include early breast cancer detection, mammography quality, density assessment, and risk prediction for breast cancer and cardiac disease.

To achieve success in the clinical setting the AI must be extremely well-designed and tested both in the lab and in the clinical setting to deliver clinical and financial benefits.

Volpara CEO and Chief Scientist Ralph Highnam, PhD, has been at the forefront of breast imaging technology for over 30 years. In this talk from the AuntMinnie.com Spring 2022 Virtual Conference, Highnam and special guest Dr. Kathy Schilling discussed the Volpara philosophy for successful AI and the positive real-world impact it has demonstrated in clinical practice.
