December 6, 2022 -- Imagen Technologies has secured clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Aorta-CAD, software that helps physicians identify findings on chest x-ray that suggest aortic atherosclerosis and aortic ectasia.

Aorta-CAD is cloud-based software that is incorporated into its Daa5 platform, the company said. It identifies findings on chest x-rays and flags them for further assessment, reducing missed aortic calcifications that suggest aortic atherosclerosis by 62% and missed dilated aortas suggestive of Aortic Ectasia by 35%, according to the firm.
