The company's latest release of its Epix CVx and Affiniti CVx ultrasound platforms now includes a next-generation nSight Plus imaging architecture and a new X5-1c transthoracic transducer. nSight Plus is a proprietary imaging architecture that touches all aspects of image acquisition and processing, creating images with pixel-level resolution compared with conventional systems, which form images line by line, the company said. The new Philips X5-1c transducer facilitates easier access to imaging windows between the ribs.
In addition, Philips' expanded echocardiography suite includes Collaboration Live, an integrated teleultrasound solution that provides remote access to clinical staff in real-time during exams.
