Shimadzu integrates Konica detector panels into its RF tables

May 23, 2023 -- Shimadzu Medical Systems USA, a subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, has integrated Konica's AeroDR Glassless flat panel detectors into its Sonialvision G4 LX and Fluorospeed X1 radiofrequency (RF) tables.

The detectors are lightweight, according to Shimadzu: The 14x17 inch panel is 4 lb while the larger 17x17 inch panel is 5 lb. The company said this is due to the panel consisting of a thin film transistor. They have a resolution of 100 µm and 200 µm, Shimadzu said.
