Guerbet, Applied Radiology introduce 'Elucirem' challenge

By AuntMinnie.com staff writers

May 23, 2023 -- Guerbet and Applied Radiology collaborating on a contest for MRI professionals called "Elucirem: The Reveal Image Challenge."

The challenge calls for professionals to share images using Guerbet's gadopiclenol (Elucirem) contrast injection for MRI exams. Entrants can submit images and supporting case information on a secure image portal on Applied Radiology's website. These will be accepted starting in May and going through December 2023.

The companies said a review committee will select a winning image each month. The committee consists of MRI thought leaders and educators, Applied Radiology board members, and Guerbet associates.

Applied Radiology will post winning images on its website and social media platforms throughout the challenge. Guerbet will also announce the "Image of the Year" at the RSNA annual meeting in Chicago in late November.

The companies also encourage professionals to consider some criteria when submitting images for the challenge. This includes MRI images being taken only for indications for Elucirem and professionals using dosing for Elucirem as approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
