The company filed a lawsuit against GE in 2018, charging the company with "theft and misappropriation" of its trade secrets and intellectual property regarding digital SPECT technology related to Spectrum's Veriton system.

Spectrum Dynamics claimed that GE has failed in two attempts to have the lawsuit dismissed, and a date has been scheduled in August 2022 to set a trial date.
