Convergent launches imaging software update

By AuntMinnie.com staff writers

November 22, 2013 -- Image fusion software developer Convergent Imaging Solutions has released UniSyn Image Fusion 3.1, an update to its medical imaging software suite.

UniSyn 3.1 features study comparison as an integrated component and allows up to four PET/CT or PET/MR datasets to be compared simultaneously, according to the firm. The new release also features tools for automatically registering and saving standalone CT and MR series with existing PET/CT studies.

The package also includes a tool that allows users to retrieve and view images from any Internet accessible computer without the need for a virtual private network, Convergent said.

The new features will also be available to Intelerad Medical Systems customers, a Convergent partner that has incorporated UniSyn as an image fusion module within its IntelePACS.
