Overall, the average volume of CT procedures per site in the U.S. was 6,550 in 2002.

Larger 400+ bed hospitals performed an average of 22,755 procedures per site, which is more than three times the overall average, whereas 200-399-bed hospitals performed an average of 11,980 procedures, <200 bed hospitals performed 3,710 procedures, and non-hospitals performed 3,515 procedures per year.
