In 2001, 71% of the fluoroscopy procedures performed in 150+ bed hospitals used barium sulfate as a contrast agent, 22% used injectable contrast, and 7% used no contrast agent at all. Data are based on responses to IMV's 2001 Fluoroscopy Census Study.
