May 5, 2023 -- Olympus plans to highlight its Evis X1 endoscopy system at the upcoming Digestive Disease Week meeting in Chicago.

Evis X1 includes the following features:

  • Texture and color enhancement imaging for visualizing lesions and polyps
  • Red dichromatic imaging for visualizing deep blood vessels
  • Brightness adjustment imaging to correct brightness in dark areas
  • Narrow band imaging to enhance visualization of mucosal and vascular patterns

The system has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the company said, along with two compatible gastrointestinal endoscopes: Olympus's GIF-1100 gastrointestinal videoscope for the upper digestive tract and its CF-HQ1100DL/I colonovideoscope for the lower digestive tract.
