HIMSS Analytics signs Siemens deal

January 10, 2006 -- HIMSS Analytics, a not-for-profit subsidiary of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) of Chicago, has signed an eight-year agreement  with Siemens Medical Solutions to provide its Web-enabled HIMSS Analytics Database (derived from the Dorenfest IHDS+ Database) to the Malvern, PA-based company.

The database contains market information on 103 healthcare IT applications such as wireless local area networks, Web tool sets, radiofrequency identification (RFID), and security applications, HIMSS Analytics said.

Terms of the agreement were not released.
