Medical Imaging AI: What the data tell us

March 26, 2021 -- Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning provide the possibility of significantly enhancing how we practice radiology, now and in the future. While the technology holds great promise, there are many challenges to its successful deployment in clinical practice.

Hundreds of AI algorithms have been cleared for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, yet only a small minority of radiologists have deployed AI clinically. In this lecture, we will explore feedback on the use of AI from thousands of radiologists in a recent survey conducted by the American College of Radiology Data Science Institute, uncovering many challenges that exist in medical imaging AI today.

Featured speakers include radiology thought leader Dr. Keith Dreyer and Dr. Catherine Jones, a thoracic radiologist and chest lead at AI algorithm developer
