Medweb offers free EHR application

March 11, 2010 -- PACS vendor Medweb of San Francisco is offering a free electronic health record (EHR) application with its virtualPACS gateway module.

Medweb EHR, powered by Practice Fusion, is a full-featured, Web-based system with charting, scheduling, e-prescribing, and medical billing tools.

The software-only virtualPACS includes a backup DICOM archive, Web server, and router enabling clinicians to securely access patient data from virtually any location. virtualPACS is downloaded via a Web browser and autoconfigured to any Windows-based PC.
