September 6, 2012 -- Imaging informatics firm Viztek announced it has introduced a wall mounting kit for its Opal-CR II computed radiography (CR) unit.

Opal-CR II can process up to 73 plates per hour and features Viztek's Opal-Acquisition software and Symphony III postprocessing software with grid suppression, Viztek said. Opal-CR II also has an upgraded cassette that is designed to best accommodate vertical loads, according to the firm.

The device weighs 65 lb and can be mounted to a wall surface similar to the process of mounting a flat-screen television, Viztek said.
