June 14, 2019 -- Breast tumor localization and breast conservation therapy technology developer Cianna Medical said that a study being presented June 14 at the American Brachytherapy Society annual meeting in Miami demonstrates the feasibility of an ultra-hypofractionated accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) regimen.

In the first results from the 200-patient TRI-faction Radiotherapy Utilized to Minimize Patient Hospital Trips (TRIUMPH-T) trial, presenter Dr. Chirag Shah of the Cleveland Clinic will report that a three-fraction APBI regimen delivered with brachytherapy applicators over two to three days was safe and feasible, according to Cianna.
