Butterfly Network adds Android access

December 20, 2019 -- Portable ultrasound developer Butterfly Network is expanding the compatibility of its Butterfly iQ portable ultrasound device to 10 Samsung and Google mobile Android devices.

Butterfly iQ has seen rapid adoption by tens of thousands of physicians, emergency medical technicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare providers around the world, according to the company.

Adding support for Android technology will allow for point-of-care ultrasound with Buttefly iQ to be expanded to nine Android phones and one tablet. The company plans to add more devices and features in the future.

Butterfly Network also announced additional financing options through Affirm with terms for 12-, 24-, and 36-month financing at an annual percentage rate (APR) of 0% for qualified practitioners. Other conditions apply.
