IBA gets ProteusOne order in Japan

April 22, 2014 -- Radiopharmaceutical provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has received a contract for its ProteusOne single-room proton therapy system from a customer in Japan.

IBA received a significant upfront payment for the order, which is subject to obtaining the necessary market authorizations, according to IBA. The company said it expects the center will treat its first patient in 2017.

Financial details and the identity of the client were not disclosed.
