HIMSS: Medical imaging leads the way in health IT


March 16, 2022 -- ORLANDO - Medical imaging is leading the way in the development and incorporation of new technologies into healthcare IT. That's according to Kim Garriott in an interview at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2022 meeting.

Garriott is chief innovation officer for healthcare at NetApp. She sees medical imaging at the forefront of technologies like augmented intelligence and the migration of health data to the cloud.
