October 14, 2020 -- GE Healthcare has introduced Edison HealthLink, an edge computing technology that offers clinicians access to tools that apply analytics to data.

Connecting medical devices to Edison HealthLink allows health systems to update software continually without requiring new equipment, essentially extending the life of existing assets. Edison HealthLink provides clinicians with tools that help them aggregate data and apply artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics to data, according to the company.

Applications that are available through Edison HealthLink include TruFidelity image reconstruction, Mural Virtual Care Solution patient monitoring, and CT Smart Subscription, as well as seven other applications, giving health systems another way to gain access to the Edison HealthLink system.
