Researchers from AMRA and Linköping University in Sweden scanned 18 healthy volunteers twice from head to knee on five MR scanners -- including both 1.5- and 3-tesla systems -- from three vendors (GE Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, and Siemens Healthineers). They concluded that AMRA's body composition measurements demonstrated high reproducibility across scanners, as well as high repeatability within the same scanner, according to AMRA.
The researchers also showed that AMRA's liver fat fraction analysis yielded comparable repeatability and reproducibility to clinical liver applications from scanner vendors, the company said.
The study was published online June 10 in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. An abstract was also accepted by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) for its upcoming annual meeting in August, AMRA said.
