Gamma Medica completes 1st Fla. installation

October 14, 2014 -- Molecular imaging developer Gamma Medica has installed its LumaGem molecular breast imaging (MBI) system at the Hill Breast Center at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

It is the first installation of the MBI system in Florida.

LumaGem is designed as an adjunct system for use when other breast imaging is inconclusive. It can detect breast cancer lesions as small as 5 mm, according to the company.
