IAEA, GE to train radiologists in Africa, Latin America

July 20, 2022 -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and GE Healthcare will provide medical imaging training to radiologists and nuclear medicine professionals in Africa and Latin America.

Under a one-year partnership with GE Healthcare, medical professionals will receive in-person and online training in diagnostic techniques to help them detect cancer and other diseases. The partnership is part of IAEA's global initiative Rays of Hope, which aims to tackle inequity in access to cancer diagnosis and treatment.
