June 14, 2018 -- Australian artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Maxwell Plus will soon begin clinical testing of an algorithm to aid radiologists in detecting prostate cancer, according to a June 13 report on Newshub.

Mercy Radiology in New Zealand plans to start its trial of the algorithm within the next few months, according to Newshub. Maxwell Plus said it has also developed algorithms for detecting lung cancer, breast cancer, and neurodegenerative disease such as dementia and Alzheimer's.
