Canon expands utility of AiCE in MRI

February 1, 2021 -- Canon Medical Systems said that its Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) deep-learning reconstruction technology is now available for a wider range of clinical applications on its Vantage Orian 1.5-tesla MRI scanner.

Including the brain and knee applications that had previously received U.S. Food and Administration (FDA) clearance, AiCE can now also be used in new applications ranging from the prostate to the shoulders, such as imaging of the joints, heart, pelvis, abdomen, and spine, Canon said.

As a result, AiCE can be utilized in 96% of all procedures on Vantage Orian, according to the vendor.
