Riverain wins SC contract

March 6, 2013 -- Riverain Technologies announced it has won a contract with a South Carolina regional health system.

McLeod Health is using Riverain's ClearRead bone-suppression software, which "removes" the bones on conventional chest x-ray images, allowing radiologists to see nodules and other medical conditions commonly obscured by ribs and clavicles, according to the firm.

ClearRead is being used with all adult x-rays at McLeod hospitals in Florence, Darlington, and Dillon, and it will be used at the McLeod Cancer Center when the new facility opens later this year, Riverain said.
