GE installs first Discovery PET/CT 600 series units

February 18, 2009 -- GE Healthcare has begun installing its first Discovery PET/CT 600 series scanners.

The first clinical installations will be completed at Baptist Hospital of Miami in Florida; University Hospital of Bichat in Paris; Queensland X-Ray at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, Australia; Duke University Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC; and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor.

In other news, GE has appointed longtime GE executive Terri Bresenham as vice president and general manager of its global molecular imaging business.
