SIR aims for more awareness of interventional radiology

September 30, 2019 -- The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) has started a new advertising campaign geared toward building relationships with referring physicians and educating patients about treatment options in interventional radiology.

The "Vision to Heal, Together" campaign centers on the availability of various minimally invasive image-guided interventional radiology procedures for vascular disease, cancer, and various other health conditions for men and women, according to the society.

The SIR said it plans to advertise its campaign through several mediums, including radio, digital, and social media advertising; sponsored content; and website resources. The society is initially targeting its advertising to reach physicians and patients in four pilot markets: Washington, DC; Rochester, NY; Little Rock, AR; and Portland, OR.
