ASE taps new journal editor in chief


January 1, 1999 -- The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) has appointed Dr. Michael Picard as the new editor in chief of its Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE).

Picard, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, will be the third editor in chief in the journal's history. He replaces Dr. Alan Pearlman, who had served as editor for 10 years, according to the ASE.
