The system uses a single low dose x-ray exposure to provide three images -- standard x-ray, bone, and tissue separation -- with no motion artifacts, according to KA Imaging. It could transform tuberculosis treatment in Pakistan, as research has shown that DES x-rays can more accurately detect tuberculosis than conventional chest x-rays, the company said.
