November 2, 2007 -- (Booth 4735) This German display developer, formerly known as Siemens Display Technologies, will get a new corporate identity when Eizo Nanao Technologies completes its acquisition of the business in early November.

In its RSNA booth, Eizo Display will spotlight SMD 21510D, a 21-inch, 5-megapixel monochrome display. Suitable for mammography and PACS applications, SMD 21510D includes an automated stability system to ensure verified grayscale response and continuous luminance levels, according to the Karlsruhe, Germany-based firm. It can be used with a number of standard or high-performance graphic cards, and offers 2048 x 2560 pixel resolution and a luminance of 750 cd/m².

Eizo Display Technologies will also feature two software packages: SMfit Total Care and SMfit Site Manager. Total Care is free of charge and is designed to guarantee constant image quality on screens, while Site Manager provides remote maintenance of displays installed anywhere in the world, according to the company.
