NDSC will serve as the licensing agent for ACR and will provide electronic health record (EHR) vendors with a direct method for healthcare organizations to integrate and use the Appropriateness Criteria guidelines in daily practice, according to ACR.

The ACR Appropriateness Criteria is a clinical decision-support database with more than 130 topics and 614 variant conditions that provides evidence-based guidance for the appropriate utilization of all medical imaging procedures, the organization said.
