The venture has been formed to establish a statewide diagnostic imaging network and will begin operations this summer. The new venture will contract with regional payors, including commercial insurance companies, utilization and radiology benefits managers, workers' compensation carriers, and other health plans and local insurers, according to RadNet.
It will also provide management services to existing RadNet and Barnabas imaging facilities in New Jersey, including information technology, marketing, utilization review, billing and collection, transcription, medical records management, equipment maintenance, and purchasing and insurance.
Finally, the venture will pursue new business opportunities that could include medical oncology, comprehensive breast disease management (such as RadNet's California BreastLink operations), teleradiology, information technology, and clinical trials work, RadNet said.If you like this content, please share it with a colleague!
