CHICAGO - The advent of the deep-dish pizza radiological sign plus an imaging-based procedure that alters mental status and convinces a person the Chicago Cubs WILL win the World Series for the first time since 1908 are two major preoccupations of radiologists in Chicago -- if a witty new video production is to be believed.

At Sunday's opening session, thousands of RSNA 2013 delegates roared with laughter during the clip, which was shown by Dr. Joy Sclamberg, president of the Chicago Radiological Society. She has kindly given her permission for us to post this video on our site.

So in the highly unlikely event of the Cubs scooping the World Series in 2014, then you know how it happened. Enjoy!

Wide-area CT delivers modest drop in pediatric dose

Study shows decline in inpatient imaging utilization

CHICAGO - If the experience of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is any indication, inpatient imaging utilization dropped after 2009 following two decades of growth. Researchers found that CT, conventional imaging, and nuclear medicine use declined, while ultrasound and MRI remained stable.
