KA Imaging to develop dual-energy mobile x-ray device

KA Imaging plans to invest $1.5 million to develop a dual-energy mobile x-ray system, based on the company's Reveal 35C detector.

The dual-energy system will give patients in critical care and those located in rural or remote areas better access to imaging, the company said.

In addition to KA Imaging's funding, the initiative will be supported by $967,200 from the Ontario Together Fund of Ontario, Canada. The device will be manufactured in Ontario.
