Ambra Health adds customers, new software updates

Cloud-based software developer Ambra Health has signed two new customers for its medical image exchange software, and it has also released a number of new features for its cloud-based image management suite.

New customer Atrius Health is a nonprofit healthcare provider with 34 clinical locations and more than 50 specialties in eastern Massachusetts. Another new client, Envision Radiology, is a diagnostic imaging practice with approximately 35 locations across Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, Ambra said.

Ambra has also added several new enhancements to its cloud-based image management suite, including new image exchange features such as the ability to split studies, run multipart uploads with unique destination filters, and set round-robin routing rules. The company said it has also improved the platform's interoperability by updating its Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise Cross-Document Sharing (XDS) capabilities and adding direct integration to electronic health record software from companies such as Athena, Epic Systems, and Cerner.

Ambra said it has also incorporated new cloud vendor-neutral archive (VNA) features aimed at optimizing workflow and efficiency, as well as refined its diagnostic viewer software to improve user experience.
