ViewRay sees Q2 sales grow, net loss narrows

Image-guided radiation therapy developer ViewRay announced a boost in revenues for its second quarter of 2017, while the company's net loss for the period narrowed.

For the quarter (end-June 30), revenue was $700,000, compared with $300,000 for the same period last year. However, revenue for the six months ended June 30 was $1.9 million, compared with $5.8 million for the same period last year.

ViewRay posted an $8.4 million net loss for the second quarter, compared with a $12.1 million net loss in the same period the year before. For the first six months of 2017, the company posted a net loss of $36.3 million, compared with a net loss of $25.5 million for the first six months last year.
