Zetta nets FDA OK for CT dose software

Zetta Medical Technologies has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its Zia iterative reconstruction software designed for low-dose CT protocols.

The vendor-neutral software is compatible with CT equipment from the major manufacturers, Zetta said. It utilizes the DICOM communications protocol to receive low-dose images, which are then processed, and enhanced images are automatically transferred to a PACS.

Zetta is an independent service organization (ISO) that provides products, service, and sales for CT, MRI, and PET/CT equipment.
