Saskatchewan cyclotron up and running

The Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences in Canada is now operational and has begun shipments of the radioisotope fluorine-18 for PET/CT scans being performed at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

Prior to the operation of the new cyclotron, the hospital had received the radioisotope from Hamilton, Ontario. The Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences is owned by the University of Saskatchewan and operated by the Fedoruk Centre.
