Kubtec highlights clinical results from ASBrS

Digital x-ray firm Kubtec is highlighting clinical results in breast imaging with its Mozart 3D with TomoSpec digital specimen radiography system. The findings were presented at the recent American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) meeting in Dallas.

Researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center evaluated differences in identifying 50 specimen radiographs that contained calcifications and had undergone both 2D and 3D imaging. Tomosynthesis radiographs using the Mozart system showed superior clarity of specimen margins, Kubtec said.

The study is the first to correlate 2D specimen radiographs versus 3D radiographs with final histopathology, according to the firm.
