Radiation oncology grant money available

The Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) has made available $200,000 in grant money over two years for projects that advance big-data analytics in radiation oncology.

Projects should focus on improving radiation therapy through a big-data approach, with a preference for proposals that address the most relevant research questions in the field and enhance policy development and outcomes in cancer treatment.

Special consideration will be given to proposals with an emphasis on identifying and analyzing data sources from the multiple sectors that provide care for patients receiving radiation therapy.

Applications are due by July 8, with full project proposals due by September 16 for research projects to be completed by December 2018. Awards will be announced in December.
