ASRT launches patient-centered education program

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has launched a new online series of continuing education (CE) courses.

Patient-Centered Care for Diverse Populations is designed to offer strategies and tactics for delivering high-quality care for different patient populations. The program features 10 modules worth 12 CE credits and provides information on the needs and challenges of patient populations and how technologists can interact with them.

Topics include caring for pediatric and elderly patients, working with patients with physical and intellectual disabilities, health literacy, equitable patient care, caring for patients with chronic and infectious diseases, and understanding cultural differences.

The modules are all approved for Category A CE credit and accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
