Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA will showcase a number of new products at the upcoming RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.

The company plans to unveil AeroDR Portable Retrofit, an upgrade kit that can convert portable x-ray units into wireless digital x-ray systems, according to the firm. The upgrade kit has a small footprint and can be installed and stored inside a cassette storage bin, Konica said.

The vendor's wireless AeroDR plate is also now available as a 17 x 17-inch plate, according to the vendor. In addition, Konica said that its ImagePilot Sigma digital radiography package can now be combined with its Informity cloud-based archive, disaster recovery, image sharing, and information portal.
