PeerVue to launch free VR at RSNA

Software developer PeerVue will debut free integrated voice recognition (VR) for its Qualitative Intelligence and Communications System (QICS) at the upcoming RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.

Called QICS VR, the free radiology voice recognition application is based on a custom-developed radiology language model for the Microsoft speech engine application programming interface (API), according to PeerVue. The embedded system includes an automated method for ensuring ongoing recognition accuracy for individual users and advanced profile management with Web availability, the company said.

In addition, QICS VR will support Philips' SpeechMike III as well as customizable and outbound HL7 communication. Other system compatibility will be introduced shortly, PeerVue said.
