Claron plans upgrades at RSNA

Advanced visualization and analysis software firm Claron Technology will emphasize new developments with its Nil (No Install) and WIF (Withinsight Framework) platforms at this month's RSNA 2011 conference.

NilRead is a new full-featured, cloud-based image viewer designed to allow diagnostic reading on any device, including tablets, smartphones, laptops, or desktops, according to the company. It includes support for all modalities, customizable hanging protocols, prior/current comparison, measurements, advanced visualization features, secure email bookmarks, and real-time collaboration, Claron said.

The company plans to file a class II 510(k) submission for NilRead with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by the end of 2011.

Claron said it will also unwrap release 2.0 of WIF, which has been ported to the C# platform and expanded to provide more than 10,000 functions. It's also been optimized to run faster and generate higher-quality images.

WIF 2.0 now also supports zero-footprint technology and powers members of the Nil products family, Claron said.
